Using actions in multiple contexts

MessageAuthor

Cut , Copy , Paste and Delete already work in multiple contexts. This here is a request to do more with the current and future actions. Consistency simplifies the interface and makes the user think and work less for the same result. 1. Moving the edit cursor/selected-items/notes/envelope points by grid size 2. Move the edit cursor to the next/previous item edge/envelope point/note 3. Changing/Moving the selection to the next/previous item/note/envelope point 4. Changing the item/track/note gain/velocity by a certain amount of dB/dB/units The idea here is to find as many crossroads as possible.

RE: Using actions in multiple contexts

+1... I'd add to 1. Moving the edit cursor/selected-items/notes/envelope points by grid size the non-grid size-pixel-based behaviour, i.e we'd need 2 actions for this. Consistency is very important... as much as organization. Please, I think if we get this we'll have less users posting such basics questions regarding these behaviours. Simplicity is the most powerful tool.

See what you think of this suggestion, as far as command consistency and ease of learning go.
