Hi Clutching at straws here. XC70 2004 with T5 engine 90,000 miles, car will start and run no problem but when you drive it and give it a quick boot it goes into limp mode and message "engine system service urgent" ,stop engine and start again it's back to normal until you boot it again. Put scanner on it and that comes up with "high fuel pressure" and "slight fuel leak detected" live data gives you a fuel pressure reading of 35000 kpa at idle and 43000 at 2500rpm,not sure what reading should be. Have cleaned pressure regulating valve and fitted new pressure switch also had injectors cleaned and tested all to no avail. Any Ideas???
Could you confirm the engine type, I dont think the T5 engine was ever fitted to the XC model. Is it a 2.4T or 2.5T? engine code would help (it's on the cam belt cover). Could you also post the actual fault code numbers please?
hi chris , my codes are ecm 1300 maf signal too high ,2501 fuel press too high ,2503 fuel press too low ,2505 fuel press too low. new maf fitted. ecm1300 still remains , rest of codes erased. also have oil loss/stain around air filter hoses.any connection ? thanks sticks
Don't think we are talking about the same problem here. If I understood correctly the OP has a petrol engine and poster sticks has a diesel. Sticks I suggest you start a new post with your problem, with full symptoms etc, as this is going to get confusing otherwise.
