Is there any way...

1. Is there any way to STOP a "double-click" from inserting a new track? I've looked through mouse modifiers, but couldn't find anything there. 2. Is there any way to get a "double-click" to insert a new empty MIDI item on the selected track? Again, mouse modifiers doesn't seem to help.

Works here with mouse mods Andy. I have mine setup that way, to double click in a track lane (under the ruler in the arrange space) to add an empty midi clip... Actually (mouse mods are so great) it actually also works from the TCP when setup like below...

Ah... I see now... It's under "Track" context. I was looking under "Arrange View". Silly me. Thanks Lawrence :) That's number 2 dealt with. Now I just need to solve number 1 - how to prevent double-click from creating new tracks. Any ideas? Cheers, Andy

I don't think so. There's no "empty tcp area" (or whatever it would be called) context available in the mouse customizer - neither is "empty mixer area". That behavior seems to be hard coded as of now. What would you prefer to happen?

Have to ask :) If you don't want stuff to happen, why are you clicking?

I was thinking about this yesterday. Might be nice to add modifiers like shift and ctrl to vary what kind of track is inserted, selected from track templates. Hmm, might be a feature request forming...
