how do I get my nanopad to talk to my computer?

I'm just starting out with this device. I've loaded the correct new driver by Korg. It appears in my options in Reaper as a MIDI device. I've selected it for MIDI input and MIDI output. I've downloaded Korg Kontrol Editor, and knowing almost nothing about MIDI, I haven't a clue as to what I should be doing with it, if anything at all. Right now, all the keys in the first scene are set to global. Is that good? Should I be assigning them to separate channels? They're only 1-16. Now what? Should I be created a track and trying to get some sounds? So far I haven't figured out what type of track that should be. MIDI? Something else??? EDIT: OK, I'm getting closer... In the track I created, I needed to right click on it and in MIDI Input - select nanopad. Now, when I tap on the nanopad I see the meter reacting. With EZdrummer open I see drums being hit as well. Still no sound. What's next? EDIT: Bingo! All I needed to do set the track to monitor the input and I could hear it!

Good to hear you got it solved. I did not have any issues when I set mine up, only thing I needed was the Korg kontroller and whola!

Most of the problem had to do with me not understanding Reaper settings.
