that crash is in the m-audio midi driver. make sure you're using the most recent version of flash and also of the midi driver. see if you can get flash to not use your audio card as well, that might be related.

Thanks dub, I'll have a look into this tomorrow. Don't really think it's the driver, since the latest driver available on the m-audio website is dated June 2006. But I'll give it a shot anyway. Thanks again for your input.
Are you sure? The m-audio website shows drivers from 04/03/2007 for me.

Oh crappers... They have different options for "XP", "XP SP2" and "XP SP3" and I got caught by the first mentioning of "XP"... :o Thanks a lot for pointing that out mate.
Nope, updating M-Audio drivers didn't help... ... and it has nothing to do with Firefox itself. Just for the kicks I played a Flash game (standalone) while having REAPER idle in the background (no playing). After maybe 30 minutes I alt-tabbed back to REAPER and - *POOF!* - to BSOD. Seems to be a problem related to Flash.
I get a similar crash, though not BSOD with Reaper & Firefox. When I load a project with a large sample library like drums in Kontakt,I often will switch to Firefox while it loads 'cause I hate staring at Kontakt loading the samples,Reaper will crash every time.Never happened before w/ previous versions. This is the error message: Faulting application reaper.exe, version 3.0.0.2, time stamp 0x4a2a22ac, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x00000000, exception code 0x00000000, fault offset 0x00000000, process id 0xd34, application start time 0x01c9e9edd07a5216.
my 3.02 version just crashed when trying to minimize/restore via a click on the task bar icon... EMU 404 PCI, Vista x64 SP2. Now I have 'close audio device when stopped and application inactive' disabled. (don't understand the benefit for me to have this enabled anyway). I suspect also that it distorts the minimize/restore functioning. Ah well, that was a long time ago since my last BSOD.
what version of firefox/flash? most recent? does the problem still occur if you pop out a stick of ram and go down to 2gb?

Firefox is ver 3.0.10.I havn't tried taking out a stick of RAM yet,but regardless I don't see why I'd even need to when it used to be fine.I never had the problem until Reaper 3.It's not too much of a big deal since it never happens unless I click to Firefox so I just wont do that anymore, lol. After seeing this thread though I figured I should chime and post the error message case it's related and would would help.
