and three more question for you :) 1...a) the dreaded lambda light....i searched here & disconected the battery, . light went out, only to come back on after 30 miles, so this morning . i removed fuse 1, the light has now gone out again, how often can . this be done without causing problems ? b) has anyone suffering from the above problem found that it mainly . occurs after reversing the car ? 2......a noise has developed, which appears to come from the passenger . dash area towards the engine bay, it can only be described as what . what sounds like a quiet 'helicopter', there is nothing in the glove box . its definately dash or engine bay, any clues please ? its a 2 ltr turbo incase that may help. Thanks Jan.

Hi Jynx, I'd agree with Ivor re the leaf. Try changed the fan speed and see if it varies with the fan speed - an easy confirmation if it does. Regarding the lambda light, I'd read the fault codes and see what is being flagged. Do you have any other symptoms - does the engine stall/hesitate when its illuminated? It'll probably switch into 'get home mode' when the lamp illuminates so it won't feel as sprightly. Let us know what the fault codes are and we'll try and point you in the right direction. NB The instructions on reading fault codes are here: its an old website that I should update, but I can never find the time! Good luck.

Hi Jan, There is another known snag on 940 Turbos which is that the fuel pipes are known to tap on the underside of the body when the engine is running. There are other posts re this snag. ivor940
