Pro Tools 8.0.3 Wont Install

MessageAuthor

Hi, I just got a 003 Rack + but when I try to install Pro Tools 8.0.3 which was in the box it take a long time to load. When it gets to the important information and software licence agreement it is blank but it still lets me click continue. When I click install it then has an error message that says that the installer could not install the software because there was no software found to install. Please help. I can't figure out how to contact Avid about this problem, they seem to want $40 to give me any help. Thanks Nick

Right, sorry. Apple iMac, 27 inch, 3.4Ghz Intel Core i7, 4GB ram, OSX 10.6, Digi 003 Rack Plus, Pro Tools LE 8.0.3. The problem is like the disk is misssing key parts of the installation. Thanks Nick

Have you registered yet? If so, you should be able to get a full installer from your account - download it and try to install from there. It may be that you have a bad disk.

Hi, It wont let me register. I have two codes, one on the disk and one on the Setup guide and none of them worked. It comes back with this message both times; Sorry, the code you provided is invalid. Please check for typos and try again, paying particular attention to characters that may look similar (such an "8" and a "B"). Thanks Nick

You should have a yellow registration card in the box - use that to register on the Avid site. The other codes are for authorization of Pro Tools.

Hi, Yes I have registered but it doesn't come up in my Avid account. Is there a possibility that it hasn't been linked up properly? Thanks Nick
