You definitley want to make a new session for every song, way easier, and when you think about it would be really stupid to do.

RE: Help band demo - multi sessions?

I disagree, I know an Engineer who always records multiple songs inm one session... as long as they are of similar styles/arrangements (which by the sound of the original, post they) and your computer can handle it then i thnk a single sesion is a great Method of working. At least mixing in this manner would be advisable becoz you only need to get your balance once and then add some automation and your done! Highlight the songs one at a time to bounce and then thats it. But, if you are working with an eclectic collection of songs then its best to use one session per song, and of course youv gotta do waht works for you. LUD

Or you could create a template on which to base your sessions, with the plugs, levels, etc. all set up for you.
