Studio 8 is a good piece of software with pretty good compression. My main problem with it is, it's just plain slow with encoding. Alot of people in the forum talk well of Vegas Video, but I haven't tried it.
You can compress top mpeg2 format with it, ideat for writing to dvd. I`ve used it for a while and it makes video editing really easy. Make sure you`ve got the latest update for it.
The only problem that I've had with Studio 8 is stability. Make sure you don't have any problems at all with your system and save your project often! Otherwise I do all my home video with it and have great results. I have captured with it also but prefer using vdub instead. Mac
I have captured some video from my JVC DV camcorder using this Studio 8.1, and the results are poor quality video. I did not set any configerations for program, I just used the default settings. Do I need to do something different or go back to using Movie Maker 2, I did get some pretty good video from it? Thank you (Greenhorn) Foz
I don't like how long it takes and its a resource hog. I can use DVD Decrypter then DVDshrink and then CopToDVD and would still have at least a half an hour to go on PS8. When I use CopyToDvd (burning a DVD) I can still be burning to a cdr in my CD-RW, I wouldn't try that while using PS8. I guess I just don't see whats so great about this program. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Microshit XP Professional XP1800+ 512 MB DVD-Rom LTD163 DVD-RW DVR-104 Norcent CD-RW 52x24
