ProjectMix I/O not responding to Pro Tools

Hi, I have a new M-Audio Projectmix I/O and only some functions are available and work in Pro Tools M-Powered. The analogue inpus are OK and the Midi seems to work BUT the transport controls do not - they seem completely detached from Pro-Tools - any ideas? Thanks - Simon

Yes to both those, I am getting audio and midi into Protools from the Projectmix, but no control surface functions. Thanks

What type of MAC and OS X version are you running? What version of M-Powered? What other midi devices do you have attached? Have you tried initializing with just the PMI/O without any other midi devices. When the ProjectMIX I/O initializes it's says "M-Audio.... Pro Tools Mode". After Pro Tools starts up the display should go blank with just lines over each channel, does that happen?

Hi, Sorry: In: Setup/Hardware/Hardware setup/ There is only one option 'Projectmix' in the 'Peripherals' Box on the left, If I click the 'launch setup app' button the 'Projectmix I/O Audio Interface' control panel app starts (with mixer/output/hardware/about tabs) and this only allows setup of the audio interface of the projectmix, Not control functions. Am I missing something? Thanks

That designates the ProjectMix I/O as the audio interface for M-Powered, however it does not configure the control functions. Faders, transport and other controls use HUI protocol and setting that up I wrote about in a previous post within this thread. As well, the ProjectMix I/O must be started up in Pro Tools mode. (Press Aux1 while powering up).
