PLEASE HELP!

Advertising

MessageAuthor

I have been looking online for awhile now and can't find a clear cut answer, can some one please just tell me how to record my vocals using reaper. I have all my instrumentals done and completed on a regular audio cd. I have transferred over to reaper using fairstar cd ripper. I have my mic plugged into the computer it's not the usb type. It just plugs into the front of my computer via mic input. How do I record my vocal to the instrumentals I have loaded onto reaper. I have been using audacity and am new to reaper. I am ready to shoot my pc at this point. HELP.

RE: PLEASE HELP!

Ryda, There are a number of steps you must take, starting with setting up your audio device preferences. Rather than type it all out here, let me point you to the (free) user guide which will lead you through this: ... and welcome!

RE: PLEASE HELP!

I tried set up the audio part but it said I didn't have a adio driver. I seen some things online about free adio downloads is this possible or do I have to buy a new sound card to do this?

RE: PLEASE HELP!

How do you set up to record your vocals if you don't have a adio driver? I thought that was part of your sound card but I seen something online about a free online adio driver download. Can you really do this or do I need to buy a new sound card.
