First midi notes not played back.

I believe there is a tiny fade on playback by default. Hit CTRL-P and find 'fade', till you see it; uncheck, try again and report back.

I noticed that the bug is depending on the used instruments. Can't reveal the missed notes bug with others than Independence Free VSTi. Buffer sizes don't remove the problem. However, repeating a one bar segment, notes that stop at the beginning of the selected area are sometimes played back. This happens often for the first 4 repeats or so, but not after that. Affected plugins: - Pianoteq VSTi and AUi - Kontakt 3 VSTi - Independence Free AUi - 4Front Piano AUi - mda Piano VSTi Small buffer sizes (128) remove the repeat problem. Instruments that don't have any of these problems: - UVIWorkstation VSTi - DrumCore VSTi - ReaSynth VSTi - Big Tick: Cheese Machine AUi and VSTi - Big Tick: Ticky Clav AUi - U-NO-60 TAL VSTi - mda DX10 - mda JX16

i suspect it's something related to a closed bug that i reported. i think it was a wrong decision to close it. maybe you check this,
