Thanks Cipher. I have tried a new approach and I'm releasing Preampus Distortus tomorrow. That is designed for metal, and there is a crunch version coming as well soon. Anyways, Preampus is designed for all the people who don't want to control anything but Bass Treble and Mid..Really simple amp that is non-typical ABG. Usually our stuff you need a manual and a couple pounds of carrots to run! KM
and far me the nightmare of all digi-amps is yet to be solved - every 'company' has basically ONE or TWO 'sounds' when it somes to amps/dirty channel. Every Line6 sound (no matter, hard rock, punk, death metal) is based on the same 'colour'. Same withDigitech and others. A digi-amp that REALLY CHANGES TONE with different amps is something to look forward too.
Well DIG 2 was almost where I wanted it in terms of being able to create new tones, but still as you say, that same original tone/shape was there. That overall shape is no longer present in DIG 2.5 everything reSponds much more accurately KM
Well Zargon...We will try to educate and help guitarists to embrace the digital amp as not a replacement, but as another sound making tool. Just like a wah pedal, or a whammy bar. Afterall, IMO you would have a pretty boring picture if you only had one colour...So, guitarists and everyone else has to view these as tools, not simulators. Sure at the heart of most of them are simulated tubes, but very soon I am going to release an amp that has absolutely no simulation in it whatsoever. Non of it is made by simulations, it is 100% digital...Its name... DIGital KM
I am a guitar player, and nothing pleases me more than to see people take the tech to the next level. If I never had to lug a 80 gazillion pound amp around again, I would be a very happy camper. Ken - I really admire what you guys are doing. Keep it up man! :)
Well Thanks guys but what we need are champions in this, we need people to record great sounding tracks that they will proudly profess are computer amps, not sims.. KM
