Well this will not be an amp per se., It will go inline with our amp on a stick. This development is all about ease of use. Its for gigs...But that is all I want to say here..You would have your entire setup complete in into the PA in 4 plugs.. KM
Wow what an interesting thread! Well I believe personally, and here is my quote(s)..."If you want to eat good, Follow a fatman." and "If you want to be rich, Watch what the poor people do and don't do it", and one more, "You will always get out, what you have always put in." So how does this relate to music...I dunno, One thing I do know, is that I personally prefer a real tube amp to any model anywhere anytime. Is that the way the industry is going to continue? Absolutely not, As a matter of fact I can't even see us using Solid state amps one day. Everything will be a model in one form or another. We will still need amps, but they will be at the PA. The time we are living in right now is akin to the days when Leo Fender started, and Jim Marshall started. We as a community are constantly breaking new ground, whether Its Michael from Peavey, LePou from Poulin, Nick Crow, or Run Beer Run. These guys are the Leo Fenders of our time, especially guys like RunBeerRun. I personally have drawn many inspirations from his work. I only wish that we would start looking at What we call amp models, differently, I am not going to call my stuff Sims or Amp models anymore, because they are not...They are software amps. Once we start to look at these things in this way, we can get past the Turn up the volume, turn down the volume mentality of it all. There is some pretty amazing things available on computer, that you CANNOT do in the real world, but that does not make them any less valid. The sound still comes out. So what I view as a major stumbling block to making the public look differently at this things, is, What do you do live? So that is why I am looking for partners to create a real Live solution, not some simple little VST player, but something real and affordable. I want to be able to drop this amp out a 2 story window onto concrete and have it still work flawless every time you plug it in. I also want you to show up to your gig with your amp in your pocket and a brief case...Thats it, you need nothing more. Now plugin 4 cords and you are live... So, a solution like that will go along way to making the future of "Amp Sims" more of a reality.. KM
