Boolean Plug-in search . . .

MessageAuthor

This is a combination question & request (if it does not already exist) . . . I've been finding use for simple Boolean while searching / filtering my plug-ins list, specifically, I have a large amount of Waves plugins and am looking for a way to simply view all VSTs that are NOT Waves, I tried "-waves" in the filter box but this sort of search does not seem to be supported. Does anyone know if subtractive filtering of the list is possible in any way presently? What I've done, for now, is to create a folder named "non-waves" and have dragged all the non-waves plugs into it, but anytime I acquire new plug-ins I have to remember to add them to that folder - simple Boolean / subtractive searching would be easier! I'll also second the thread here where someone mentioned tagging abilities for plug-ins, that would be helpful too! Thanks : )

That's not possible currently AFAIK. Good request.

. . . another way this sort of filtering would be helpful is in hiding plug-ins with certain attributes "-mono" for example.

Try: "NOT Waves". Or something like "NOT AU NOT Waves". Or whatever works... it even updates as you type - at least here, on OS X; I do it all the time and have done so for ages. So I actually know something about REAPER that even the mighty dragon didn't know. :p Hah! :D

Woah, is this even documented anywhere? I was looking for something similar last time as well, simply disregarded it as 'probably not implemented'. e
