Disable Windows 10 Auto Updates.

I posted this in another thread but it will probably easily get lost so I'm creating a dedicated thread for it here. Many people believe that you can't stop Windows 10 from automatically updating but that is not the case. All you need to do to stop auto updates is to set your connection as a metered connection. Click on the WiFi icon, click on 'network settings', go to 'advanced options' and turn on metered connection. Updates won't automatically download from then on.

That works for wifi connections but i dont think you can set an ethernet connection to be metered.

You can control windows updates the same way as win7, win 8 & win 8.1
