I’m not sure if it’s the best method, but I’d create a new folder at somewhere like … Program Files\VST Plugins Then copy the non Cubase specific VSTs to the new folder. I'm suggesting copy, instead of move, because you might want to still use them with Cubase Now create a path to the new folder in Reaper. If it won’t open, you can always try moving VSTs out of the folder until you find the one’s that are causing the problem. I'm not 100% certain about this but, as far as I'm aware, it's generally only necessary to move the dll. It's generally not a good idea to move sound libraries, so they need to be left where they are. This is certainly the case for VSTi's like Kontakt and Addictive Drums. Edit: there are a few exceptions to this. For example some VSTs (e.g. Stillwell’s) need the key file and/or the manual in the same folder. Also, some VSTs need things like presets in the same area or in a subfolder. It might be worth waiting for a few other views on this, because I'd hate to screw up your system. Pete
