Ok. About a month ago I wanted to try other DAW's. I got my hands on Sonar X1, Cubase 5, and Studio One. However, all these had their own issues that just hindered my workflow and various other problems that are too many to list. Anyways the only reason I was looking for another daw is that I couldn't get reaper to quantize correctly. But it seems that reaper is the best one out of the ones I've tested so I've returned. But....! I still can't get midi to cooperate. Please help. Can someone please give me the standard settings for a basic 1/16th quantize...? Thanks!

thanks for wanting to help guys. Im on mobile so i cant post a screenshot until i get home. I did the right on record method and tried input quantize... I do have pretty good timing but im a stickler for perfection...but i digress. See even if i play my note exactly on the beat and quantize with what i think are the basic settings in the prv i will see a note nudge backward from where it was actually played. The 1/16 and the 't' messed me up. What i do is click 1/16t, set swing to 0, set strength to 100, dropdown set to note position and apply. But it seems to scatter the notes worse than my hand-played timing was. Any clues?
i was assuming that the T meant 'timed' or basically snap to grid so to speak. I read the manual but could not find reference to its meaning. What should i be using?
