AD and midi...rendering?

Advertising

MessageAuthor

I don't know if rendering is what I'm looking for, but I've got a drum midi track that's made up of various loops I've pasted into one track that's running AD. I want to save this midi track as a composited "song" midi track...make sense? Or maybe; I want to "compile" these loops into one midi track. Sorry, but I'm a midiot...

You could select all the midi sections, then right click and choose the option called 'Glue selected items'. This will join all the sections together. If you want to save this as a midi file, double click on the track to open the Midi event editor, then click on File and choose the option called Export to new midi file. Pete

Pete's right there, however if you just want to stick them together temporary, cos you might not have finished, you could group them instead, select the ones you want grouped and hit "G"

Thanks a bunch. Both options will come in handy. Ted- I understand the concept, but what good would it do to group them? They're already sitting together in the track. Are you saying they would be saved as a file I could further edit later?

No, they would be grouped, useful in a project if you don't want to move one without moving the others
