multi out vsti weirdness

just discovered this with RM V (linplug). the weirdness comes into play with the reaper sends from the rmv track (1 track of midi -> x audio channels of output). reaper seems to think my stereo send pairs correspond to rmV outputs 1/2, 2/3, 3/4, 4/5, etc...so i never get proper stereo pairs. i can cheat by using the "mono" outs that show up (even when setting up rmV to only present 32 stereo pairs!), but they actually seem to behave like proper stereo pairs. (i.e. i can only use outs 1,3,5,7,9)...but i don't think it presents enough of them to cover all of the channels i typically output. the routing matrix looks like everything's in order, except that it doesn't show all of the available output channels (nor does the patchbay in the fx window) that the plug presents...has anyone else run into this? most other multitimbral vi's seem to work okay (i.e. sampletank2) from what i can tell. tia kell

you need to use 1/2 and 3/4 for example. simply ingore 2/3 in this case.

i've made some progress since i'd posted...rebuilding the outputs from the vsti window helped too (i'd inserted it from a template..perhaps my template is hosed). strangely, i still have trouble with the stereo pairs...but it does present "mono" outputs that seem to be the actual stereo pairs...and there are enough of them! it's probably just this particular plug since i don't seem to be having issues with any others...hmmm. i'll kick it around some more. thanks for the response though! i'll let you know when i get it figured out.

Yeah, Reaper's is quite 'technical' in this area. Not really user-friendly.
