Towbar wiring

i have a 1997 940 when i got it a towbar had been fitted but the sockets were not working we brought a relay from towsure because our one was not working we wired it in but still have a bulb failure light the only thing we have on our car is whoever wired the last towbar in has put in a fused wire which runs from the drivers side indicator round to relay the wire is green can anyone help??????

the Left tail lights and right tail lights ( Black and brown ) must be run down to the fuse box in front of the gear lever and connected to the relavent fuses , The stop lamps ( red ) must be run down , to the stop lamp switch ... the others can be connected to the rear lights direct ... otherwise the the bulb fail device will be overloaded and overheat ..

Hi Yes it is a estate the person that originally put the towbar on have spliced into the wires!!! i have got a yellow block uner my light unit. We put this relay on from towsure that is spose to bypass the bulb failure but are wondering if the fuse that has been put on the indicator wire is causing this will be much appreciated if you have any pics

I do not know why they would put a fuse on the wire for the indicators. The wires from the towbar should just go straight onto the block connector. Will get some photos this morning for you.
