RE: Trying to produce a radio show for multiple stations
You could layout all tracks as you describe and then use sws snapshot to capture each take (music plus selected id channel on, all other id channels muted) and then batch render all snapshots.

RE: Trying to produce a radio show for multiple stations
Yes, SWS snapshots or make a macro. Eg - Render - Mute selected track - Select next track - Unmute selected track or something like that You just patch all talk-tracks to Music-track 3+4 (to your compressors sidechain) Hint: Use Lookahead :)
RE: Trying to produce a radio show for multiple stations
You might not need a macro at all if you send the music to each of the voice tracks. That way, you'd end up with the equivalent of five music+voice tracks. Each of these tracks would have its own processing (ducking compression, etc). Render all five at once. They're all going to be the same length.
RE: Trying to produce a radio show for multiple stations
Hey Greg, Is there a reason you didn't put the mix on track one, then set up a folder that contains all the voicetracks (common, ktke, kbeach, etc) like this: Track one would have the mix along with a ReaComp sidechain to handle the ducking. The Combined Voice Tracks folder parent has a compressor (for volume control and aid in ducking) and collects all the voicetracks and send them pre-fader/post-fx to the 3/4 sidechain input on track one. Seems like it would be a bit cleaner but I wanted to see if you had a particular reason for doing it the way you suggested. Thanks! Mike
RE: Trying to produce a radio show for multiple stations
My main focus was to render all stations at once and also to avoid scripting/macros. So I needed to turn your way inside-out. I also didn't want duplicated media. I just wanted to see if it was possible. A proof of concept rather than a perfected method. Although my template uses automated ducking (with 300ms fade in and out), it would be possible to use manually created automation, which could be different for each station.
