Aurora Igniter + Plugin Automation Problem

I have a new G4 dual 1 gig mix plus running OS 9.2.2, Pro Tools 5.1.3, with a digidesign 7 slot expansion chassis,ilok,atto 128, and aurora igniter card. My cards are installed properly according to digi. Here's my dilema. Whenever I have the Aurora Ignition Contol Panel and the Aurora Igniter Driver, Init, and lib extensions(all version 4.7.4) on I cannot paste plugin automation settings from the keyboard(shift, command, V) in Pro Tools. Copy seems to work fine. I can copy using the keyboard(shift,command,C) and paste by selecting paste form the plugin window but not from the keyboard. If I turn off the control panel and extensions for the igniter paste from the keyboard works fine. Can anyone duplicate this problem or offer any advice? I will call Aurora later today. Thanks Jamie

i cannot help you with problem but i have some questions about your Aurora igniterLT card if you don't mind. I wasn't able to get my system to work properly with the IgniterLT card. I kept getting playback errors(i forget which ones). Aurora tech support said it was a protools problem in the way it interacted with quicktime. I was wondering how well your system works and if you encounter any problems? thank you

Anthony We have had okay luck with the igniter and protools. We have had some 6042 errors but these can be eliminated by setting the igniter to output only to an external monitor not on the computer, hiding the video track in protools, and playing back the video from a different drive than the audio. Hope this helps. Also for those that are curious Aurora has responded with this: "The Ignition control panel has hot keys to allow easy access to common Igniter functions. If the default commands are interfering with another application, you need to change the definition in one or the other. You can change the Igniter hot key definitions by following the instructions in the User Manual." I'm away from the machine until tomorrow so I will know tomorrow if this works. Jamie
