Hi all, does anyone out there know if I can slave a 96i/o rig WITHOUT a sync i/o to a 192 rig WITH a sync i/o? Or in other words: Do I have to buy another sync i/o to get this to work? Cheers, Brett

Do you have a SMPTE to MTC converter for the second rig? If so you can clock the second rig from the Sync I/O (for example, include it in the loop for loop synch)... that will give you speed -- for location you'd need to convert the SMPTE to MTC for Pro Tools. Rail

Great advice Rail, I should be able to use my MOTU Micro Express to do just what you suggested... although I am now worried that I wont be able to use certain frame rates for example 23.98. hmmmm... Thanks for the input, Brett

Hi. The sync i/o has MTC out, so maybe you could use that. This way you will not need a LTC to MTC converter but just use any old midi-interface on the slave rig. Espen
