Still A Mystery (guitar based rock track)

MessageAuthor

i'm listening to the new version now... meanwhile, you can drag those "fade in, fade out" gizmos at the beginning and end of each item to cover up just about any punch-in. the punch-in is undetectable, but so what? it's still awkwardness when you include those two syllables. you seem to have cranked the vocal a little bit... your voice can stand it.

i got to say it would be a catrostophe if there was a movement in pop music that produced songs that meant something. what if the music started us to thinking about things that really mattered? catastrophe

we got to assmume that, however they try to change us, we're gonna still be sexual critters. so we have to assume that your song will remain valid.

i got to say that, after you cranked the vocal a little, the awkwardness is minimized. maybe forgiveable... maybe not so awkward after all. maybe a failure of courage with the vocals.

pretty complicated for a determined primitive like me. the product is worth the effort. as if you needed to make the effort.

Thank you, well I think the main part of the vocal sound is the Shure SM7B mic itself really, and the eq parameter choices.

i got no idea what's going on with gerry rafferty in "baker street", for instance... whatever he's doing, it's terrific
