Splitting a DVD-9 and adjusting menu calls

Advertising

MessageAuthor

Hi everyone! Probably a newbie question but I can't find an answer to this... I'm trying to split a DVD-9 in 2 DVD-R. Now the original size is ok to have the complete movie in the first disk, and all the extras in the second disk. I'd like to implement this functionality: in the first disk (the only movie one) I would like to have that pressing the "extra" button in the menu nothing change (i.e. the button calls its own menu and not "extra" menu) meaning that the extras are not present in that disk: in the countrary now happens that the DVD player exits! The same should happen in the second disk, when trying to press the START MOVIE button and nothing should happen! How can I use ifoedit to edit "what" and in "which" files??? Thanks in advance. Kim

Unfortunately the question is not so easy to answer since the process is different from movie to movie. Try to read in this forum about disabling or removing buttons. Bye. Silix.

i don't know if it can be done with vobedit but you could try.... i'll try with "ice age" where i striped some audio tracks (there were 7 of them and i kept track 1 and 5) and now to activate track 5 i have to press the track 2 button....

Thanks, but I've already read about disabling buttons, either by using Ifoedit or by using Vobedit: unfortunately in both cases the things are complicated because they are animated menus! Kim
