740 wheel sizes

Hi, I have three 740's, and one has the 14 inch wheels (rather than the 15 inch the other two use) Are the wheels interchangeable (as a set?) or is the hub different? I know the obvious answer is to try - but its not that simple, as the 14 inch one is parked at my parents place, 140 miles away!

The hubs will be the same, the only difference may be the front brake calipers. If the car with the 15" wheels has ABS, it is highly likely that the 14" won't fit. However, the 15" wheels will replace the 14" easily. You're gonna have to check sorry!

Thats correct. On the car with 14's, any wheel from a 200, 700 and 940 should fit straight on. The 15's might be more interesting if the car has abs.

There are 14s on my 765, and when the dash lights are working I will know if it has abs! I think it has.

Don`t forget tyre size`s as if you have the wrong size your speedo won`t read right !! Regards Mike B
