Help With Tone

MessageAuthor

i'm trying to figure out how to emulate the Rhodes-like tone from this clip. as far as i can tell, it's a Rhodes with delay, or maybe an organ. but i can't begin to figure out how to match it. any help would be appreciated.

RE: Help With Tone

IMHO most probably a Rhodes and it sounds like it's played through filtering or amp sim, whatever it is it has some chorus, a multitap delay and reverb. Short simple stab at it:

RE: Help With Tone

Yeah, a real Rhodes with the treble cranked. That's more treble boost than the stock preamp on a suitcase will do though. Quick and dirty way to get there: plug in a wah pedal and stomp it all the way down. As noted by my esteemed colleague, add chorus, delay and verb to taste and bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
