problem with Platinum DVD+R on my SONY dru-500a

HELP !!! i just bought 50 Platinum DVD+R`s and wanted to do some burning. everything was great , started burning at 2.4x , but when it reached 100% it spit my DVD out :-( it didn`t created a lead-out . i`m using NERO 5.5.9.17 for burning with the new firmware from sony. can anybody help me out ?? i already have 4 coasters in a row now , al the same problem.:scared:

Try using RecordNow Max 4.5. Nero is fishy

i`m now using Record now 4.5 , and so far no problems !! :) thanks guys for the suggestions ! from now on i`m not using Nero anymore for burning dvd movies

nero has been sucessful for me so far Havent tried it with "cheap" media yet though

Nero 5.9.9.17 works fine for me with DVD-r's (Datasafe, Datawrite and All4Mats (Ritek) disks. Haven't tried any +R disks, theyr'e usually more expensive anyway. Nero has crashed a couple of times right at the end of the disk write (leadout) and locked the drive. Restarting the machine solves the drive lock and the resulting disks have both worked to! Guess I'm lucky, I tried ten disks of Ritek's, Datasafe, Datawrite and Mirror (vivistar). The deep purple ritek's are best but only write at 1x, the Datasafe (Manufacturer ID: TDKG02000000) and Datawrite (work at 2x Datasafe seem more compatible with other players than Datawrite although I can't see any obvious diference. The Mirror (vivistar) seem crap and unreliable so I won't be getting them again. :devil:
