whaferdale... any of u guys use them?

so, i am thinking of getting a set of the diamond 8's for a second referrence. what i wanted to know is what people thought of them. anyone out there use them. i know they got great reviews from MIX and other magizines.

..or perhaps someone would like to comment on another particular brand of speakers?

thanks for your reply.. but, i am currently using a pair of event ps6's. i just wanted another set of speakers, one's similar to hi fi's, that i could use as a reference in my set up.

There's many european speakers that fit the monitor style. My budget faves are Missions, KEF Q-series, and Monitor Audio Bronze series. As for Wharfedale, I don't know the Diamond 8's, but I recently turned a $300 profit buying and selling a pair of 1968 Wharfedale Meltons Really interesting classics that were ahead of their time enough that they're still very practical today. Something tells me they don't use cast baskets anymore.
