Runtime Error / Access Violation.

MessageAuthor

Hello, All of a sudden I cannot open anymore a session, and I get a "C++ Runtime Error" followed by an "Access Violation Occured" message... I tried to open the back-up files of this session with no luck, while all my other projects are opening straight away. I trashed the DigiDesign Databases, the ProTools preference files (located under Documents & Settings) and the DAE prefs as well. I then uninstalled and reinstalled from scratch ProTools and also Ableton Live 2.1 (that I was currently using on the session in Rewire mode...). Still no changes! I wait for your precious tips and support. Thanx in advance, Sergio

RE: Runtime Error / Access Violation.

you can probably start a new session and import or drag in the stuff from your session that got torqued- In the process you'll probably identify the culprit causing the error... Which by the way is an ugly ugly error which I have seen several times myself.

It sounds as a really good idea! I'll try it a.s.a.p. and I'll let you know how it ended
