Thanks TCDet for your valuable advice. I emailed Celemony for their advice on this issue, they got back to me within 24 hours! Very impressed with that customer service, considering I only have the demo version!! Here's what he wrote, for anyone who's interested: ______________________________ Dear Zac, Rewire is just a sync protocol to sync two programs together. If you want to edit an audio file in Melodyne Uno while Uno being connected to a host (e.g. ProTools) by Rewire, then you also need to open up an audio file in Melodyne Uno. It doesn't open up an audio file automatically with the Rewire protocol. That's simply not possible. It would be the same if you connect Propellerheads' Reason to ProTools, so both programs can sync together and you can send start/ stop commands from one program to the other. Best wishes, Joerg Huettner __________________________________________ My original message to Celemony is below: Hi, I just got a Digidesign 002 Rack with the Pro Tools ignition pack, which included a demo of Melodyne Uno, called Melodyne Uno Essential. I don't understand how to use it with Rewire - I open it up as an insert on a track, but all that happens is that it opens up the Uno Essential application, but doesn't open up any window. It remains for me to create a new session within Uno after rewire has opened the application, and even once I've opened a new Uno session nothing comes up in the Uno timeline editing window. All that happens is that if you press play in either PT or Uno, both programs stop and start in unison. What is supposed to happen? Is this all that can be done in Uno, or is this an issue only in the demo version (Uno Essential)? What happens in the full version? I really need to know what is possible, because I'm keen to buy the full version of Melodyne Uno but I need to be confident about how it will work for me. Regards, Zac
