Wondering about time/size to convert vob to avi

I'm converting a standard 1 gig VOB to XVID avi. There's no progress meter so I'm wondering how long this is going to take (three hours and counting) and how big the file will be (100 mb bigger than original and counting). No audio, no subtitles, Target quality 100%, auto width.

Four hours now, and 320 mb bigger than original.

Is there a way to convert VOB/mpeg2 to avi without compression and without bloating the file?

Five hours now, and 600mb bigger. I have to go shave now, bbiab. :rolleyes:

I figured that has something to do with it, but how much quality loss am I going to see if I set at 65%?

Lol, it just finished. 5:33, 1.8 gb.
