Am I correct in thinking that it is impossible to suspend certain automation parameters while allowing others to be read? In other words, can I suspend a track's pan automation while the volume automation plays back correctly, or is this not supported? Thanks for any info! Cheeers, Andrew

No, you can suspend one type of automation while leaving others active. View the automation parameter you want to suspend and Cmd (mac) click on the name (volume).
