Toogle VST Parameter with "Note On"

MessageAuthor

Hi @all... Is it possible to "toogle" an VST Parameter (like 'Delay on/off') with sending NOTE ON/OFF Midi messages? I own a FCB 1010 and have a custom programmed bank where every foot-pedal is mapped to a NOTE ON/OFF midi message. In Ableton Live I can simply enter midi map mode, press e.g. the "bypass" button of an effect and assign it one of those foot-pedals. When I press the foot-pedal it toogles the bypass. Same can be done with any 'switch' of an vst-parameter. That is basically the same as if you want to toogle a vst "switch" parameter by (or bypass of the effect) by pressing a note key from the masterkeyboard (like C4). It would be really cool if someone can help me with that! - OderWat (Germany)

Don't think that that is possible. Worth raising as a Feature Request though.

Well I added a feature request for this behaviour but I fear that it will last some time till something like this will be implemented, just because of the fact that it was not implemented directly from the start :) To get arround my problem I just ordered the custom "UnO" replacement firmware for my FCB1010 which adds something which is called a "stompbox" mode. That one will make it possible to send two different control values for on and off.
