Reaper + Sylenth1 sudden nuisance!?

MessageAuthor

Hey guys, I have now been using Reaper for about a month and a half. So far i am still liking it very much! I just seem to run into a reproducable problem when using Sylenth1 however. For people that are not familiar with Sylenth1, its a very well respected software synthesizer VSTi. My problem is, that my project is exactly to my liking when i stop working. So, i save my progess and shut down Reaper. The next time i start up Reaper and load my project, the sylenth1 layer is no longer responding to anything at all! (ie. no sound, while the MIDI notes on the channel are being played). It makes no difference whether i reload my project. If i, save all my sylenth 1 presets however (3 different channels) and add the VSTi again to the respective channels it works just fine again! (After adding them i reload my parameters to get my desired sound back ofcourse). I've had this several times now and the weird thing is, there is another Sylenth1 track in the project that does not seem to have this problem! I would really appreciate some help on this issue! Thanks in advance!

- Is this only one project where that happens? I can imagine that the data chunk for the synth got corrupted once on that track. But how that persits during consecutive saving of the project eludes me. Maybe another plugin on that track does something strange? - Do you have these options checked in the prefs? - Can you post the .RPP file? (Upload to and post the link here)

Hey, Thanks for your quick reply. :) I checked the options and they we're both on like you suggested. The only other thing i can say is that it concerns 3 similar Tracks consisting out of Sylenth1 + Camelphat + ReaEQ. (And Camelphat has been turned off on all three layers). I PMed you a link for the rpp file. (Not posting in public for 'created material' reasons).

Sorry, seems I can't find anything unusual. The config chunks seem to be ok (at least they all have the same length) and I can't see any stray CC or something in the MIDI items. Odd. But which of the 4 Sylenth tracks is the one that doesn't act up?

The tracks called: Sylenth1, Sylenth2 and Sylmono are the ones giving me trouble. The track called LeadFX works without a hitch. The three tracks i mentioned we're all copied from the first track (Sylenth1) i think though. I don't know if this might have anything to do with it? (But that would mean copying a track doesn't spawn extra instances for the VST's and im not sure if thats true...)
