Temporary tempo change

Advertising

MessageAuthor

Hey guys: Quick question: how can I make a temporary tempo change, similar to the slider in Sibelius (you slide it to the left / right and playback is slowed down / sped up, without changes to the tempo and metronome markings in the score). I'm trying to play in something in midi and the pace is a bit too fast; I'd like to avoid having to change the tempo markings as that will mess up everything that comes after it. Thanks!

RE: Temporary tempo change

Can you automate the playrate or tempo map on the master track, then just delete that when done? That will probably shift some things but since it is on the master, when you delete those envelope points, it'll just go back to the way it was after you finish playing.
