XP vs Reaper - Menu and other Font settings

MessageAuthor

hmmmmmm.. i had the idea of setting ALL my fonts to a smaller size. i wanted to have a nicer look, and more information (due to the smaller Fonts). for eg. long filenames. so i changed ALL (and i mean ALL) the chageable fonts in (rightclick on XP Desktop/) Properties / Appearance / Advanced.. .. but after testing the whole system, its obvious that the Fonts that Reaper uses in the ItemProperties dialog is the same, no change at all. MS Sans Serif, size 8. (i guess) aaagh. i googled a lot, then i found info about the "FontSubstitutes" in XP. ( ) and YEAH, this is the place to change the Fonts. and this is how it looks like with this settings: not exactly what i'd need - but shows the difference. good for testing atm. now let me show you how the SoundForge6 file dialog looks like with these settings: meh. i cant get it... so, im almost there - but please gents.. do you have any idea how to set the FONT SIZE for those "MS Shell Dlg" registry enties? my goal would be the "Tahoma", size 7. thank you very very much.

All fonts, other than those that are OS controlled, are within the theme menu. (You must have really good eyes to be able to clearly see such a small font)

Really, all the fonts in Windows are controlled by those settings in "advanced" theming. You just have to look more thoroughly ;). e.g. "tooltip font", "message font"... and experiment a bit. Cheers!

So you lost some of the text from the dialogs when changing to Tahoma, eg. Snap offset is now Snap, Item timebase is now Item, Item mix behavior is now Item mix etc. ?
