FTP losing extensions

MessageAuthor

Does anyone know if there is a procedure for making those extensions 'stick' when transferring audio files and PT sessions over FTP clients (Transmit, Fetch, etc.) Currently, I have a 116Kb PT session and a 5.3Mb stereo bounce, which are both unreadable 'documents' that I am unable to associate with PT. When uploading the files, it appears as if the extensions and application associations stick from the computer i send them from, but attempting to download the files from another computer is where the extensions get lost. I sure hope that someone's a bit more familiar with this than I am.... Thank you.

The best thing to do is use Stuffit to stuff or zip the file. Doing that protects the file from getting corrupt in the transfer process.

To retain the resource forks... you need to BinHex the files (.HQX) Rail
