putting together 2nd system

hi all. i just bought a new 1.25 powermac and a used mix core. i will add in an 888 from our other system and will have a 2nd platform for editing. my question is this: can i get the pt software from digi as standalone? it appears that the software in the digistore requires an older version, ie it is upgrade only. i would like to get going asap. the mac will be here early next week and i already have the mix core. thanks

To continue to get software and support, you also need to make sure to get the ownership registration transferred from the previous owner to you. Lee Blaske

i bought the card on ebay, and no software was included. can i not just purchase pro tools? i did this with LE a few years back when i bought a used amIII

You might call Customer Service on Monday, see if they can help you. I bought a used MIX system, and according to the registration forms and transfers, the CD is mated to the core card.

I recently inquired about this and the guy at digidesign told me that I can buy it from the digi store. $295 for the a full copy.

Protools software follows the Core card. You should have received the disc from the seller.

Just buy $195 version 6 package-That will get you the cd,manuals,etc--Alto Music has them in stock
