error 6089 and 9073?!

I looked these up in `search` and are some many answers for this problem.(I have didgi02) My computer compac celeron 1.2 gig 512 mgs has worked flawlessly ,and 1 song(a new 1) started this error. The only difference with this 1 song is I just installed a new firewire 1394(adeptec) device. Any simple commom answers ? Thanks everybody and happy Xmas! Hal pilot57

Hi Hal, I think we're experiencing the same problem. My PC was running 001 happily, then I installed a 002 and I get the 6089 error aswell. I also have the Adaptec 4300 Firewire adapter. Sorry for us that we're having this problem but I'm happy I'm not the only one which means this is something that hopefully can be corrected. Best Regards, John

Time to revive this thread.... I'm also having the same issue with the 002 - 6089 error. I recently traded in an MBox for the 002 and running it on the same Toshiba Notebook I was using with the MBox. I got an external firewire card (SIIG Cardbus with VIA chip set). I've tried to turn off everything that can be turned off and I'm still getting the problem. I'm running an IBM drive in a Granite Digital firewire case for external storage. Both the 002 and the firewire drive are running into their own ports on the SIIG Cardbus firewire adapter. The problem, so far, has only appeared when playing back the demo song "be there". I did a DaveC and got 25 tracks without any 6089 issues. Maybe "be there" is cursed?? Any thoughts on what could be causing this. Maybe the notebook is not the best choice? give it to me straight I can take it. -Lampy
