Elektro-shaman (render 2b)

So ... here's a new piece I've been working on for about three weeks. There's around 2 minutes, and as usual with these early renders, it needs a lot of work. But I'm at the point where I could start using some feedback. Two quick points, I'm working entirely with audio exported from Reason and imported into Reaper. I'm working with a poly-rhythmic type of effect and am trying to saturate the sound to get it to sound like tape. Would love to hear your thoughts so far, good and bad. It's the last song in the player. Edit: Song title changed to "Electro-shaman" and the current render is 2b.

I missed this last week... Anyways (render 2), the intro is awesome. When the action starts at :44, it does sound saturated, but maybe too saturated? There's a lot going on in the sub bass and it's hard to make out esp at ~1:10. Usually your stuff is real clean and I kind of like that but I see where you're trying to go with this so it's not bad, just different. :)

Can't wait to to hear what's coming next - it's pretty powerful thus far. D.

Render 3 is now up ... still "in-progress" Though I'm still whittling away at the second section (sound-wise), I'm mostly curious to see if the transition into the third section feels all right. It's a short segment I pulled out of a longer song called "The Killing Machines" that I started about three years ago and doubt I'd ever finish (it's a long story, but it involves hundreds of cut samples from four Reaktor 5 improvs). Anyway, if it doesn't fit, I'll cut it. Right now, I sort of like it, but it's hard to tell sometimes. I know the ending of section 3 needs work -- I'm more concerned with the transition and the first twenty seconds after it arrives. "Electro-shaman (render 3)"

well render 3 is surely interesting. Feels like I'm walking through a forest in space, alone, at night.... :D IMO, I think at the point it ends now, you should then blast into a loud fast fat synthy heavy part. !!

Scott, it's like you read my mind! That's exactly what I plan on doing. Then I'm going to close with a reprise of the opening.
