Hi, I can only add that the bodywork was NOT galvanised in all models. Seems that galvanising ended at least when the S/V90's were brought out and possibly sooner. S/V90's and the very late 960's also had a revamped body styling giving a colour coded kit and external trim etc.. Nice looking too.. Des. . . ;)

I've think you've answered your own question - you won't need to make as many trips to the DIY store/garden centre/tidy tip and the unspoken bit will be that you can put large parts of a 2-10-0 in it :)
