I'm getting auto fades - how to stop them?

... turn them off by clicking the button in the Main toolbar :)

If they already have crossfades I think that you'll need to change the fade values to 0 in the Item Properties window. Any new overlaps should not get a crossfade. That actions is described as "Toggle auto-crossfading" so it is not strictly "no crossfades" (as i has understood it to be) HTH If that doesn't do it I'm stumped
