ReMPEG2 reduces the size of the video part of the VOB file, not the audio. This is why the output is an .m2v file (or should be, I don't remember). In order to see your smaller video file with audio, you need to load the original vob in ifoedit, go to VOB tools and then choose re-mux, where you will be asked the location of the video file. Once the vobs have been re-muxed, you will have your reduced VOBs with audio. To re-cap: ReMPEG2 reduces video files only. This means, it reads the original VOBs, ignores all audio and subtitle info and re-calculates the video for a smaller bitrate. The resulting file has to be re-inserted in the original VOB structure, replacing the old video stream, to produce the new and smaller VOBs. You do that with IfoEdit and the re-mux function. Read the guides and U'll be fine.
