Reaper has predefined shortcuts to access markers 1-10 by pressing numbers : 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. Fine. Now, I have more than 10 markers, how can I assign shortcuts to them ? I searched custom actions, but the list only displays action regarding markers 1 -> 10. ... any input ? The big picture : using a footcontroller on stage to jump from a song to another. Thanx for your help !
The only way I find is open the markerlist and select the marker you want to jump to. Either with the mouse or the up/down keys. (Of course, if you use the keys, you could as well just use next/previous marker... so it doesn't really help at all :()
hey Gofer, as the number of options grows and grows, it's getting more and more difficult to not giving uncertain advices. You can't think of everything. We all do our best, don't we? -Data
Hi gofer- As I'm sure you know, we can already use Ctrl+J and type the marker name in quotes to jump to it. Not as fast your suggestion would make marker navigation, but I use this quite a bit since it's easier for me to remember names, esp. since new markers have to be re-ordered if I insert one b/w others. Plus I tend to keep the names short!;) -Susan
How great is the Reaper community ! I just posted that request a couple of hours ago and already have cool guys asking how they can help ... I easily forget Reaper's "under construction" state because of that. Well, let's get back to the topic. Globally, the easiest and most flexible way would be to have more custom actions available. We have 1->10 as for now. We could have 1->50 or ->100. I doubt someone will have more than 100 markers in a project. Then, anyone could just choose his hot keys combinations. I would keep key 1 -> 10 for markers 1->10 + add shift+1 = marker 11, etc. Ideally, I would like to create hotkeys on a midi footcontroller like bank A/patch 1 = song 1 bank A/patch 2 = song 2 etc. bank 2/patch9 = song 19 etc. I don't even know if MIDI hotkeys are possible, by the way.
Well I know this thread is kind of old. But I'd rather add to an already existing thread. I'm with a few other people that have requested a "goto marker #" function. That is something I am missing and after some time searching I found out that SWS add on added the marker functionality. So my request for the action would be somewhere along line of the way Pro Tools does it. Which is you hit the numeric pad "."(period key) type in the number then you hit the "." again and it jumps straight to the marker. I'm constantly using more than 10 markers so this would be extremely helpful.

Okay cool Thanks Guys. I regularly use more than 10 markers and I was looking around for the command in the actions list but didn't see it. I must have not looked hard enough. Thanks again!
