AutoGK - At Most 9 VOB Files in Source

I rip a DVD in IFO mode with DVDDecrypter using chapter split. Now I have 30 VTS_01_CHAPTER_<nn>.VOB files. However, the AVI generated by AutoGK contains the portion of the first 9 VOBs only, as confirmed by the d2v in the gk_tmp directory. Is this requirement (fewer than 9 VOB files) documented somewhere for DVD2AVIdg or AutoGK?

To elaborate a bit more: Is this requirement (fewer than 9 VOB files) documented... Yes, sort of. In the , it does say, "You can leave the rest alone." And that means the 1GB file splitting, too. DVD2AVI, dg or any other version can only take up to 9 vobs at a time (try it sometime). You can load more by using the Add button, but what's the point, because as Doom9 says, there won't be more than 9 1GB vobs on a DVD. If you come across movies split over 2 DVDs with 1GB vobs totalling more than 9 (like LOTR EE), then you can make 2GB vobs, join them into one folder, and then AutoGK will also take those with no trouble.

Hi- Yeah Joe, that's how you do it. You renumber the vobs from the second DVD, and then put them in the folder with the first set of vobs. And it can cause audio desynch, depending on the movie. LOTR-EE and Gangs of New York get asynch, so they're not really practical for AutoGK. I did another one recently, , which was a flipper, with the movie divided among the 2 sides of the same DVD, and it wasn't asynch after joining the vobs. By the way, neuron2 is working on DVD2AVIdg some more, and when done, it'll join any number of vobs, which should make henryho_hk happy. Wilbert alluded to this earlier, although I've just come across the thread: Then he'll be able to split by chapters again, if he wants.

btw latest version of AutoGK contains new DVD2AVIdg which is supposed to autoload more than 9 vobs - did you try that ?
