Custom toolbar icon transparency help :o

Hi, I've been working in inkscape to make some custom toolbar icons, but can't seem to get the transparency to work. Starting from scratch using WhiteTie's tut it works fine, but when I import a .png file, from the standard 3.0 theme, edit and save as, I lose the transparency. Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong? I'm not quite following the problem you're having - could you explain in a bit more depth please? Maybe stick some screenshots on ?

What's happening is... the area around the icon reverts to white.

Could I ask you to PM me one of your Inkscape files please?

Figured it out. Had to re-export after editing. ...whatever, finicky-ass inkscape. note to self. importing a .png, editing a png layer on top of it, then saving as a .png is aparently not enough to prove it's a png to the program that created it :P
