can i "normalize" to -3db (or something other than 0 db)?

It is interesting how many volumes we have, as far as I can see we have. Normalize Volume Item Volume Volume automation pre FX Automation volume Trim Volume Master Volume Hardware output Volume for the master Anyone know where item volume and normalize volume fits in the signal chain?

I can do an action that does the Reaper normalize action first and then subtracts a user definable amount from the new take volume. Not sure when I would get to doing that though...And I know some people hate the extensions, so please don't bring that up hahahah...You either use the extension or wait if the Reaper developers do something like "normalize to dB value" themselves. Personally I'd just take the extension now and not wait if anything happens in Reaper or not... ;)
