Annoying problem with envelopes

Every time I drag audio onto different tracks it creates volume envelopes on the track i move it to. I'm sure there's an easy fix, please let me know, this is really irritating me!

A. In Reaper, open Preferences. B. Do a search for "show affected" It will return 1 result, named: "Automatically show affected envelopes when moving media items across tracks" C. Is that setting enabled ? Then disable it, hit apply (right bottom of Preferences Window) and then hit OK. Now check if behaviour is changed to your wished for behaviour. Hope this helps ! vanhaze, thank you, I experienced the same thing, but didn't yet care about searching. Now I don't need to search any more! :)
